A McDreamy tribute to a lifetime of love.
Patrick Dempsey celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife, Jillian Dempsey, on July 31 with a touching message reflecting on their life together.
“25 years, it feels like just yesterday! I can’t get over how quickly the time has gone by,” the Grey's Anatomy star wrote. “Life would not be the same without you, your vision, your kindness, your compassion, your love, your sexiness, your intelligence, your warmth, your friendship, your wisdom."
Patrick, who shares daughter Talulah Dempsey, 22, and twin sons, Sullivan Dempsey and Darby Dempsey, 17, with the makeup artist, added, “The love of my life, I’m truly grateful for all that you do and who you are. You’re an incredible mother, wife, friend, and partner @jilliandempsey.”
Jillian returned the sentiment, sharing the same wedding photo alongside a pic of a young Patrick from their first date in the '90s.
“Happy 25th baby @patrickdempsey! Vintage moments to cherish,” Jillian wrote. “I love you beyond words & our wonderful children. *I’m also thrilled we’ve made it to an actual big number on a Hallmark card!”
Patrick first met Jillian in 1994 as a client at the stylist’s hair salon. And for the Can’t Buy Me Love alum, it was love at first sight.
“The moment I saw her,” Patrick, who wed Jillian in 1999, gushed to People in 2023. “I went in where she was working, and I looked across the room at her and was blown away.”
But their marriage has not been without its ups and downs. In 2015, Jillian filed for divorce from Patrick, only for the spouses to call the divorce off the next year.
“Our marriage was not something I was prepared to let go of," Patrick told People at the time. "I didn't feel like we had done all the work. And we both wanted to do that work. That's where it started."
