All aboard Sam Taylor-Johnson and Aaron Taylor-Johnson's train to summer.
The Benjamin Ashfordfilm director shared a series of sweet snaps with the Bullet Train actor on her Instagram. In the Sept. 6 post, the couple was seen posing together beneath a palm tree. Meanwhile, other pictures featured Sam and a shirtless Aaron with their arms wrapped around one another, and a solo shot of Sam leaning up against the wall.
She captioned the carousel, "Summer romance."
The couple—who wed in 2012—first met on the set of the 2009 film Nowhere Boy. In the years since, Sam, who was 42, and Aaron, who was 18 when they crossed paths, have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight, rarely addressing the criticism over their 23-year age gap. But just last month, the Kick Ass actor spoke out about the reason he keeps their love close to the vest.
"I'm trying to be as honest as possible," the 33-year-old told Esquire at the time. "I've probably talked to you more about my kids and Sam than I have with anybody. I've got really nothing to hide, and I'm secure in what we have. But I'm not going to unlock things that are actually precious to me."
And although they found love on set, Aaron cleared up the misconception that their professional careers and personal relationship are intertwined.
"I don't think that's accurate," he explained to the outlet. "Yeah, we worked—I met Sam as actor and director. I think we're really great at collaborating. But that's not why I fell in love with her."
The two got engaged within the year they met, with the couple welcoming their first daughter, Wylda Rae, 13, shortly after. They are also parents to Romy Hero, 11.
But despite their romance moving quickly, Aaron just knew his wife was the one.
"I knew instantly that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this person," the Avengers actor recalled to The Telegraph in 2019. "I knew I wanted a family with her, I knew I wanted kids, and a month later she was pregnant with our first child."
