The Bridge Fire has set over 54,000 acres ablaze and is only 9% contained, according to officials.
As of Monday, 2:27 a.m. local time, three firefighters were injured while attempting to contain the Bridge Fire, which started on Sept. 8. It has since destroyed 54 structures and damaged 13, according to the LA County Sheriff's post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Moderate temperatures assisted firefighters on Sunday, who were able to start establishing direct containment lines.
"The northwest flank of the fire continues to be the most active," according to Cal Fire. "Firefighters focused on direct attack along the fire’s edge with strike teams of engines, hand crews, and aircraft to protect the communities of Big Pines, Piñon Hills, and other areas to the northwest."

The east side of the fire is less active but still poses a risk to residents in the Mt. Baldy area, around 47 miles northeast of Los Angeles, so evacuation orders remain in effect.
On the south and west sides, firefighters have made progress and have been able to hold the fire's progress.
What caused the fire?
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
