Hi out there, Steve Burns has a message for you.
The Blue's Clues alum took to social media the day after the 2024 U.S. election—where former President Donald Trump was projected as the winner by NBC News, beating out Vice President Kamala Harris—with a special reminder for his fans: take a second to breathe.
In a TikTok video posted Nov. 6, Steve brought out two cups—one for himself and one for the viewer—as he leaned on a fence and took several deep breaths. The 51-year-old occasionally looked into the camera, but otherwise kept the video free of talking, only filled with the sound of breathing and ambient noise.
And despite not saying a word, Steve's video had a huge impact on those who were still processing the election results.
"Steve I'm trying real hard not to cry at my big girl job today but it's not easy," one person said in the comments. Another added, "You are exactly what we need right now."
"The little nod made me burst into [tears]," a fan wrote. "Steve, thanks for showing up for us today."
And while the TV host's video was for his followers, others wanted to make sure he was taking care of himself as well, with one commenting, "Are you ok Steve? we're here for you too."
Steve—who was the first host of Nick Jr. Blue's Clues when it premiered in 1996—has made it a point to check in via social media over the past few years.
Shortly after the premiere of the docuseries Quiet on Set in March, Steve posted to TikTok, asking his fans, "Tell me what's going on."
He was then quiet for a minute, allowing those on the other side to share their feelings, before saying, "OK. Alright, well, it's good to hear from you. You look great."

Steve also made a point of reaching out to his Nickelodeon fans on the 25th anniversary of Blue's Clues, wearing his iconic green striped shirt and reflecting on everything he and the show's viewers got to experience before he left the series in 2002.
"Look at you," he said in a 2021 video. "And look at all you have done and all you have accomplished in all that time! It's just so amazing, right?"
He added, "I wanted to tell you that I really couldn't have done all of that without your help."
